Speedify is a client program that allows you to use the homonymous service. It is intended to make your Internet connection faster and more reliable by creating a VPN (virtual private network). The tool itself is very easy to use, as it works like a wizard. The steps to follow are quite simple: create an account, pick a server type and choose a country.
The real value of the program comes from the service it accesses, though. It should be noted that Speedify allows not only creating a VPN but also combining all existing connections, such as LAN, WiFi, and cellular data, to increase data transfer speed and reliability. Thus, it lets you surpass the maximum speed of any of your available connection by itself. Moreover, there is no danger of losing access to the Internet as long as one of the connections remains working.
As any other VPN service, data are transferred in an encrypted format. Yet, it has the advantage of using ChaCha 256-bit encryption, which is considered strong but does not deter high speed. This way, you can protect the information even if you are connected to a public WiFi service. Another benefit of using a VPN is that you can bypass firewalls and geographical restrictions. Lastly, Speedify allows P2P connections as those necessary to download torrents.
Probably the biggest downside of Speedify is its price. Even when it gives away a 1 Gb the first time you use it, you need to pay either a monthly or an annual fee. Thus, many home users would rather spend their money on paying for a faster connection than on Speedify. However, if you are a frequent traveler who would like to cut down expenses on 3G o 4G cellular connections, you can reroute part of the traffic through free WiFi networks in the area.
